Clinical Section

The clinical section is a dental clinic with approximately 225 dental chairs or units. 200 of these units are located in the training clinic where dental students, dental hygienist students and clinical assistant practitioners are educated. The other units are located in the specialist clinic.

Around 500 patients are seen and treated every day at the clinical section. Treatment of patients forms a basis for the education and research conducted at the School of Dentistry.

Patients seek treatment at the School of Dentistry at their own initiative or by referral from private dental practices, municipal clinics, hospital departments or other specialist clinics.

One of the municipal dental clinics of Copenhagen is also located at the School of Dentistry, allowing for cooperation regarding dental health care for children and profylactic work and treatment.

The daily function of the clinical section is overseen by two senior clinical assistants and a senior nurse.
